Step 1: Planning
Before you begin the installation, it is important to plan the layout of your ducting system. Consider the location of the air intake and the desired airflow direction. Measure the length of ducting required and ensure you have all the necessary components, including the S90 manifold connector and S90 plenum.
Step 2: Preparing the Ducting
Start by cutting the semi-rigid ducting to the desired length using a sharp utility knife. Make sure to wear protective gloves and goggles during this process. Place the sealing ring on the first complete grove, making sure the seal is not twisted.
Step 3: Attaching the S90 Manifold Connector
Take the S90 manifold connector and align it with the end of the ducting. Insert the ducting into the connector, ensuring a snug fit. Secure the connection with the retaining clip. Repeat this step for each ducting section.
Step 4: Connecting the S90 Plenum
Position the S90 plenum at the desired location for air distribution. Attach the ducting sections to the plenum using the multiple attachment points provided. Ensure a tight connection to prevent air leakage.
Step 5: Adjusting Airflow
The S90 ducting system offers adjustable airflow control for optimal ventilation. The airflow is adjusted while the ventilation machine is running. Adjust the air flow at the manifold valve until the desired airflow is achieved. The airflow at the ceiling valve is measured with an anemometer.
Step 6: Testing and Maintenance
Once the installation is complete. Turn on the ventilation system and check for any air leaks or unusual noises. Regularly inspect and clean the ducting system to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
